Want to contribute to the site? Great!
The site uses software that lets virtually anyone edit the content, so if you're likely to take offence when you're corrected it's probably best not to contribute! The software that we are running is commonly called a wiki, and is in fact the same software that runs Wikipedia.
To edit a page simply click the edit button at the bottom of the screen. If you want to create a new page use the search box. When no page is found for a search, a ‘create this page’ link can be followed to start editing your new page. Red links in text are to pages that do not yet exist, so if you see one you can help by following it and creating a page! For more information on actually editing a page Wikipedia has a good article here. If you want to use images feel free, here is a good page that explains how this can be done!
As well as the ‘attract’ pages on the tabs above there are other pages we need to create. We will probably need one for both the current Men's Squad, Women's Squad and probably the Novice Squad. Some sort of safety page is probably be needed. (Though I guess we have to be carefull with that.) A page for the Social side of the club, and possibly the London Corinthian Sailing Club.
A list of pages that have not yet been created that need writing can be found here.
In addition it is always good to spread the word about the club. A couple of ideas that spring to mind is to list the club in the Yellow Pages, it doesn't cost anything and would also give us a listing on Google Maps. There are other Wikis about rowing that could do with an entry about the club. I guess the major one would be Wikipedia's Sons entry which once completed could be used elsewhere.
